Leonardo DiCaprio may be thinking about a major life change with girlfriend Vittoria Ceretti.
The 49-year-old Oscar winner has spent decades as one of Hollywood’s most watched bachelors. But insiders now claim his romance with Ceretti has become serious enough that fatherhood is no longer just some far-off idea.
According to sources, DiCaprio has been weighing the idea of having children soon. And the reason reportedly goes beyond romance.
Leonardo DiCaprio Reportedly Feels The Clock Ticking
Sources said DiCaprio has always pictured himself becoming a father one day, even if he also has concerns about raising children in today’s world.
“Leo has reservations about bringing children into today’s world,” one insider said. “However, he’s always pictured himself as a dad someday.”
Now, with DiCaprio nearing his late 40s, the decision reportedly feels more urgent.
“Now, approaching his late 40s, he feels it’s a ‘now or never’ situation,” the source added.
That is a notable shift for DiCaprio, whose dating life has been picked apart for years. Fans have watched him move through high-profile relationships while avoiding the traditional marriage-and-family path many stars eventually take.
His Mother Reportedly Wants Grandchildren
Insiders claim DiCaprio’s mother, Irmelin Indenbirken, is also part of the equation.
“His mother is a significant factor too,” the source said. “She’s eager for grandchildren, and Leo wants to fulfill that wish.”
The insider added that with Indenbirken reportedly in her 80s, time feels more pressing.
“But with her in her 80s, time is of the essence,” the source said.
Ceretti also reportedly wants to start a family with him, which may be pushing the conversation forward. The Italian model has been linked to DiCaprio since summer 2023, when the two were first spotted getting ice cream together.
Vittoria Ceretti May Be Different For DiCaprio
DiCaprio and Ceretti have kept much of their relationship low-key, but they have been seen together at major events. That includes Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez’s star-studded wedding in June 2025.
Sources close to the couple have claimed DiCaprio is deeply taken with Ceretti.
“Vittoria is undoubtedly beautiful, but Leo is constantly surrounded by stunning women,” one insider said. “What sets her apart is how much he adores her.”
Another source claimed DiCaprio may finally be ready to settle down.
Ceretti, however, has made it clear that dating someone famous comes with a frustrating label. In March 2025, she said that once someone dates a celebrity, they are quickly reduced to being that person’s girlfriend or ex.
For now, neither DiCaprio nor Ceretti has confirmed baby plans. But if insiders are right, one of Hollywood’s most famous bachelors may be closer than ever to a family chapter.
