Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding has not happened yet, but fans are already trying to make money off it.
The singer’s fans have always treated clues, dates, outfits, lyrics, and public appearances like pieces of a puzzle. But the speculation around Swift’s wedding to the Kansas City Chiefs tight end has now moved into a different arena: betting markets.
According to The New York Times, predictions about the couple’s upcoming nuptials have become a major market in recent weeks, with fans placing wagers on everything from the location to the guest list.
On Kalshi, there are reportedly more than $2 million in bets tied to the wedding. About $1.49 million of that is focused on the location alone. That has pushed the wedding-venue speculation into the top 5% of markets on the platform.
New York is currently listed as the front-runner, while Pennsylvania and Tennessee reportedly trail far behind at 2% odds.
Fans Are Betting On The Wedding Details
The betting does not stop with the venue.
On Polymarket, users are reportedly wagering on who will make the guest list. Names being discussed include Swift’s close friend Selena Gomez, Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs teammate Patrick Mahomes, and singer Gracie Abrams. The whole thing has turned one of the most private celebrity events of the year into something closer to a public guessing game.
Clarissa Bronfman, a spokeswoman for Kalshi, told The New York Times that the trend reflects how fandom has changed. “Fans have always tried to predict what happens next,” she said. “In many ways, prediction markets are becoming another layer of fandom and expression for the superfan.”
That may be true. But for some Swifties, the betting market also crosses a line. Trying to decode an album rollout is one thing. Turning someone’s wedding into a money-making game is another.
Wedding Rumors Have Been Everywhere
Speculation about where Swift and Kelce will marry has been building for months.
Back in December, reports claimed the wedding could take place in Rhode Island, where Swift owns a home. Page Six later reported in June that the couple planned to wed on June 13 at Ocean House, a luxury venue in Watch Hill.
Then came another twist. On June 5, Page Six and TMZ reported that Madison Square Garden could be the venue, pointing to the fact that there were no scheduled events at MSG from June 29 through July 6.
That claim immediately set off another wave of fan theories. But not everyone is buying it.
A source told Rob Shuter’s ‘Naughty But Nice’ Substack that Madison Square Garden felt too big and staged for Swift and Kelce’s wedding. “A wedding at Madison Square Garden feels like a production,” the source said. “Not a wedding.”
Another source suggested the MSG rumor could be a decoy, with guests possibly being told to meet there before being taken somewhere else. “Most people I know think it’s a decoy,” the source said.
Swift And Kelce Have Kept Fans Guessing
Swift and Kelce have been together since the summer of 2023 and got engaged in August 2025.
Swift announced the engagement on Instagram with a caption that instantly went viral. “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” she wrote.
Since then, fans have been watching for every possible clue about the wedding. That level of attention is not new for Swift. Her fans are famously good at reading tiny details, from music-video visuals to outfit colors to release-date patterns.
But this time, the stakes look different. The wedding is not a record drop. It is not a tour date. It is a personal milestone, and the betting frenzy has turned private speculation into a public market.
The Betting Frenzy Adds Pressure
Swift and Kelce are already two of the most watched celebrities in America.
Now, even their wedding location and guest list have become financial predictions.
For some fans, that may feel like harmless guessing. For others, it makes the whole moment feel invasive.
The couple has not publicly confirmed a venue or guest list, and the competing rumors have only made the speculation louder.
That has not stopped people from betting.
Whether the wedding happens in New York, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, or somewhere fans have not guessed at all, one thing is already clear. Swift and Kelce’s wedding has become more than a celebrity event.
