Kim Kardashian’s Monaco Grand Prix weekend has turned into a style fight she probably did not ask for.

The 45-year-old reality star was already making headlines for supporting Lewis Hamilton at the race. Then her yacht photos arrived. Kim posed in a sparkly backless Gucci dress with a visible logo innerwear detail, and fans quickly turned the look into another round of criticism.

The reaction was blunt. Some called it “trashy.” Others called her “very, very unclassy.”

That would have been enough on its own. The problem for Kim? She was not being judged in a vacuum. She was being compared to the polished women already known in the Formula 1 world.

Kim Kardashian’s Gucci Look Divided Fans

Kim wore a fitted, long-sleeved Gucci dress covered in sparkle. The backless design showed off her figure, while the visible innerwear logo detail gave the look a late-’90s throwback edge.

She posed from a yacht while in Monaco, where she had been linked closely to Hamilton’s race weekend. The photos drew attention fast, especially after her appearance at the Grand Prix had already sparked chatter about her presence in the paddock.

Some fans liked the confidence. Others were not having it.

“Yuk,” one viewer wrote. Another called the look “cheap, trashy, common, vulgar.” A third critic went straight for the label, calling Kardashian “very, very unclassy.”

F1 WAG Comparisons Made It Worse

The criticism hit harder because Monaco’s F1 wives and girlfriends brought a very different fashion mood.

Alexandra Leclerc, who has been supporting husband Charles Leclerc throughout the 2026 season, leaned into refined Riviera style. For qualifying, she wore a red-and-white polka-dot Posse Romeo linen maxi dress, a nod to the Monaco flag. She finished the look with a Roger Vivier clutch, Aquazzura sandals, and Messika jewels.

On race day, Alexandra shifted into Oscar de la Renta from the Spring 2026 collection, wearing porcelain flower lattice embroidery with fringe detail. The result felt elegant, feminine, and very Monaco.

Kelly Piquet, Max Verstappen’s partner, took a sharper route. She wore a structured white high-collar Jacquemus top with black capri pants, leopard-print Maison Alaïa sandals, and a black Hermès purse.

Carmen Montero Mundt, who arrived with George Russell, wore a tailored white Burberry dress with a plaid handbag, Oliver Peoples x Khaite sunglasses, Kiki McDonough earrings, and Zara block heels.

Against that lineup, Kim’s yacht look felt louder and far more divisive.

Lewis Hamilton Thanked Kim For Showing Up

Kim’s Monaco weekend came as her romance with Hamilton drew more attention.

The pair have known each other for years, but recent sightings in Japan, Coachella, Monaco, and a Nobu sushi date have pushed the story into full public view.

Hamilton also addressed her support during the Grand Prix weekend. “It’s amazing to have her come this weekend and have the support,” he said. He continued, “It’s amazing to have good people around you and good people supporting you and she does that for me every day.”

That quote made the relationship feel more serious. It also made Kim’s F1 presence harder to ignore.

For now, the Monaco style verdict is split. Kim brought celebrity spectacle. The established WAGs brought polished race-weekend control.

Fans noticed the difference, and they were not gentle.
