Taylor Swift is reportedly planning a very private wedding to Travis Kelce, and one person may be getting fewer details than expected: his father, Ed Kelce.
According to a new report, Swift is allegedly keeping some information about the “really, really big” wedding away from Ed because insiders believe he may not be able to keep quiet. “He’s sort of like a loose cannon,” one source claimed. “Nobody knows what he’s going to say, so it’s kind of a controversial situation.”

Swift is said to be guarding the date, location, and other wedding details carefully as her big day with Kelce approaches.
The reported concern around Ed stems from what happened after the couple’s engagement. In August 2025, Ed spoke publicly about how Kelce proposed to Swift at his Missouri home.
He said Travis had initially wanted to wait for the right time, but Swift was allegedly getting “antsy.” “He got her out there, they were about to go out to dinner, and he said, ‘let’s go out and have a glass of wine,’” Ed said at the time. “They got out there, and that’s when he asked her, and it was beautiful.” Ed also revealed that the couple FaceTimed family members right after the proposal.

Reports claim Kylie Kelce, Donna Kelce, and several friends do not have every detail either. Swift is allegedly managing the guest communication herself to stop leaks before they happen.
One source claimed she has skipped physical save-the-dates and is personally calling guests instead. “When it comes to the date and location, she wants to avoid anything leaking ahead of time,” the insider said.
The source also claimed Swift is giving slightly different details to different people. That way, if something gets leaked, her team may be able to trace where it came from. That sounds extreme. For a Taylor Swift wedding, it also sounds entirely predictable.

The guest list is reportedly huge, but one famous name may not make the cut: Blake Lively.
Swift and Lively’s friendship has reportedly cooled after Lively became involved in her legal battle with Justin Baldoni. The issue, according to one insider, was that Swift’s private text messages became part of the public record.
