Tucker Carlson is getting roasted by ‘The View’ again, and this time the hosts are calling out what they see as his political shape-shifting.

During an episode, the panel went after Carlson over his recent break from Donald Trump. The conservative commentator has drawn attention after distancing himself from the president, especially following Trump’s decision to declare war on Iran and the backlash around his AI-generated Jesus photo. The hosts were not impressed. Their basic message was clear: why did it take this long?

Whoopi Goldberg Calls Out Tucker Carlson’s Denial

The segment focused partly on Carlson’s claim that he never called Trump the “Antichrist,” despite video appearing to show otherwise.

Whoopi Goldberg said that kind of denial does not work anymore. “This is the problem! I mean, this is what happens,” Goldberg said. “There is video everywhere, of everything! Anything you’ve said ever is on video.”

She said Carlson should have left room for uncertainty instead of flatly denying it. “So, you always have to ask it like a question. ‘I don’t remember saying that, did I say that’…You can’t say ‘I never said that,’” she added.

Sunny Hostin Says Carlson Took Too Long

Alyssa Farah Griffin pointed to Trump’s Iran decision and religious AI image as key reasons Carlson appeared to pull away from him.

Sunny Hostin then questioned why those moments finally crossed the line for Carlson. “It wasn’t the racism, and the misogyny, and the xenophobia, and the anti-LGBTQ+. It wasn’t any of that,” Hostin said. She also took aim at Carlson’s years on Fox News, claiming he profited heavily from misleading viewers. “Tucker Carlson got paid $20 million a year to basically lie to the American people,” Hostin said. She added, “And he sold his soul for those $20 million, that’s very clear to me.”

Hostin also suggested Carlson could easily switch back to supporting Trump later, depending on where the political winds move.

Ana Navarro Says Carlson Keeps Changing

Ana Navarro said she finds Carlson’s public shifts hard to keep track of.

“I just find keeping up with Tucker Carlson’s conversions very exhausting,” Navarro said.

She argued that Carlson has changed repeatedly across his career, from his time on CNN’s ‘Crossfire’ to Fox News and now to his latest version outside the network. “He is a very different person than the person who was on CNN’s ‘Crossfire’ and a very different person from the guy he was on Fox News, and a very different person now from the guy who he was five minutes ago,” she said. Navarro then compared Carlson’s changing personas to Eminem’s ‘The Real Slim Shady’. “Which of his shady personas is gonna show up?” she asked.

The hosts’ criticism landed on one point: Carlson’s break with Trump may be dramatic, but they do not see it as principled. They see it as another version of Tucker Carlson.
