Kylie Jenner says one party experience involving psychedelic mushrooms ended with her crying off all her makeup and leaving early.
The Kylie Cosmetics founder, 28, opened up on the latest episode of ‘Better Half With Stas & Vic,’ the podcast hosted by her friends Stassie Karanikolaou and Victoria Villarroel. The episode included segments recorded around Coachella, where the group talked about partying, public appearances, and what Jenner does not want to deal with in a crowd. For Jenner, taking mushrooms in public does not sound like a fun idea.
Kylie Jenner Says Mushrooms Made Her Too Emotional
During the podcast, Jenner said someone had asked whether she wanted to take mushrooms that night.
“Someone asked me today, ‘Do you want to take shrooms tonight?’” Jenner said. “And I’m like, ‘I just don’t know if I want to be shrooming in public.’”
She explained that the experience can make her emotional. “I’ll get really emotional and start crying,” she said. “Why do I want to cry tonight?”
Karanikolaou suggested they could take “a little bite of chocolate,” but Jenner then shared a past story that seemed to explain her hesitation. “It was like a party, and I took shrooms, and I came, and I couldn’t stop crying,” Jenner recalled.

Jenner said the reaction was not only sadness. It was laughing and crying at the same time.
“I was laughing, crying because someone came to ask me a question, and I thought it was really funny, and I couldn’t stop laughing,” she said.
Then came the beauty disaster. “I cried off all my makeup,” Jenner said. “I went to the bathroom and I looked like the most craziest version of myself.” When Villarroel asked if that really happened, Jenner answered, “Yes, I had to go home.”
The story fits the exact reason Jenner said she would not want to take mushrooms in public. A festival crowd, cameras and a bad emotional reaction are not exactly a low-pressure mix.

The conversation later shifted to cannabis after Jenner mentioned appearing on Kid Cudi’s podcast ‘Big Bro.’
“You were high for that podcast?” Villarroel asked. “I wasn’t high for that podcast,” Jenner responded.
After Villarroel said Jenner’s eyes looked glossy during the appearance, Jenner looked directly at the camera and said, “You heard it here first. I was not high for the podcast.”
Jenner also posted parts of her Coachella weekend on social media, including festival outfits, time with friends and the house where the group stayed. One of her looks included a sparkly green tank with a provocative photo of Justin Bieber, who headlined the festival and performed songs from different eras of his career.
Still, the most memorable detail from Jenner’s Coachella podcast chat was not the outfit recap. It was the warning buried in her own story: taking mushrooms before a public event once left her crying in the bathroom, makeup gone, ready to go home.
