Bianca Censori stepped out in New York City looking almost like a different public figure.
The Australian architectural designer and model appeared at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation, where she served as a guest critic for a final review session in the Advanced Studio IV program.
That alone was enough to surprise people. But her look drew just as much attention. After months of headline-making, highly revealing public appearances, Censori arrived in a far more restrained, professional style that seemed built for the room she was entering.
Bianca Censori Shows A Very Different Side At Columbia
Censori’s latest appearance moved sharply away from the image many people associate with her.
Known for bold, body-focused looks often worn during outings with Kanye West, she chose a sleek all-black outfit for the Columbia review. The styling emphasized structure, shape and clean lines rather than shock value.

She wore a high-neck top with a structured skirt and sharply pointed tall leather boots. The look felt deliberate and architectural, with a monochrome palette and controlled proportions that matched the academic design setting.
Her beauty choices followed the same direction. Censori wore her updated hairstyle straight and neatly parted, while her makeup appeared neutral and defined. It was not the usual Bianca Censori public moment. That was the point.
Her Architecture Background Gets New Attention
The Columbia appearance also brought renewed focus to Censori’s professional background.
Censori holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in architecture from the University of Melbourne. During the session, she joined other critics in reviewing student design projects and offering feedback.
That context matters because Censori’s public image is often reduced to her fashion choices. At Columbia, the conversation shifted toward her design training, academic credentials and ability to speak in an architecture setting.
Her wardrobe supported that shift. Instead of leaning into spectacle, she appeared to choose a look that communicated discipline, precision and credibility.
Is Bianca Censori Reworking Her Public Image?
The contrast with her recent appearances was hard to miss.
Censori was previously seen at Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles wearing one of her signature metallic, body-focused looks. Her 2025 ‘BIO POP (THE ORIGIN)’ exhibition in Seoul also explored the relationship between the body, furniture, space, and performance. At that exhibition, she presented a hybrid of performance, furniture design and spatial installation, positioning the body as both structure and object. The project connected her fashion choices to broader architectural and conceptual ideas.
That is why the Columbia moment feels more interesting than a simple style change. Censori may not be abandoning her provocative image. She may simply be showing that she understands how to adjust it depending on the space. In Los Angeles, she may lean into spectacle. At Columbia, she chose restraint. Either way, the appearance gave her something her public image does not always get: professional context.
For once, the headline was not only about what Bianca Censori wore. It was about where she was, what she was doing, and why the new look made people pause.
