Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban finalized their divorce in January, but the family fallout may not be over. Their 17-year-old daughter, Sunday Rose, has reportedly unfollowed Urban on Instagram. The move quickly got attention because she still follows her mother, while Urban continues to follow his eldest daughter. It is a small social media move, technically. In celebrity family drama, though, an unfollow rarely stays small for long.

Urban and Kidman, who split in September 2025 after 19 years of marriage, also share 15-year-old daughter Faith Margaret. Now, the focus is shifting from the former couple’s breakup to where their daughters stand.

Sunday Rose Appears Closer To Nicole Kidman

The Instagram change follows reports that tension between Urban and his daughters has been growing. In March, Rob Shuter reported on his ‘Naughty But Nice’ Substack that both girls had “essentially cut off contact with Keith.” A source close to the family claimed the situation had been “building for a while.”

Sunday also raised eyebrows during her March interview with ‘Elle Australia,’ where she spoke warmly about Kidman’s influence on her career goals. “My mum is someone who has always been so creative and my biggest inspiration in life,” Sunday said. “She’s a key part of everything I do.”

She did not mention Urban in that section of the interview. According to Shuter, Urban allegedly took issue with the omission and “feels erased” from his teenage daughters’ lives.

Urban Has Faced Midlife Crisis Claims

The family tension comes after months of speculation about Urban’s post-divorce life.

He was previously linked by rumors to 26-year-old country singer Karley Scott Collins, though Collins denied the chatter in a January Instagram Story. “Y’all, this is absolutely RIDICULOUS and untrue,” she wrote.

Other reports have claimed Urban is going through a “midlife crisis” after the split. One source alleged he has “turned into a totally different person” since the marriage ended.

“Nicole and Keith don’t really communicate,” an insider claimed. “Things got really bad at the end of their relationship and haven’t rebounded.” The source also claimed Urban wanted “to live the single life,” while Kidman allegedly felt she did not “know him at all anymore.”

There is no public statement from Sunday explaining why she unfollowed her father. Still, the timing has made the move hard to ignore. Kidman is entering a new chapter after the divorce, while Sunday has been stepping into the fashion world and preparing for high-profile moments of her own.

For Urban, the reported unfollow adds another uncomfortable layer to an already messy split.
