Former Hunger Games actor Ethan Jamieson is facing serious felony charges in North Carolina. The 27-year-old was arrested in Raleigh on April 8 after police linked him to a March shooting. Authorities say the case involves a moving vehicle, three occupants and a 9mm handgun. The Ethan Jamieson arrest has now pulled a former child actor back into public view for a very different reason.

Ethan Jamieson Arrest Follows Raleigh Shooting

Raleigh police said officers responded to a shots-fired report on March 22. A victim told police that an unknown person on an e-bike fired at their vehicle. Three people were inside the vehicle at the time, according to multiple reports.

Investigators later identified Jamieson as the suspect. Court records show he faces three counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill. Police have not publicly detailed a possible motive.

The charges remain allegations at this stage. Jamieson has not been convicted in this case. Reports said he was denied bail after his arrest.

From Hunger Games Tribute To Court Case

Jamieson played the District 4 male tribute in The Hunger Games. He was about 13 when the 2012 film turned into a global hit. The role put him near the edge of a major Hollywood moment, even though his screen time stayed limited.

His acting credits also include One Tree Hill and Justified. Still, his career slowed after his early teen years. In past interviews, he spoke about wanting normal life instead of lasting fame.

That old quote now gives the story a strange second life. Many viewers remember the young actor from a massive franchise. Now, his name appears in arrest reports and court schedules.

Prior Arrest Adds To The Scrutiny

The Raleigh case is not Jamieson’s first recent run-in with police. E! News reported he was previously arrested in March 2025 for resisting a public officer. That earlier case has resurfaced as his new charges draw attention.

For now, the current case is moving through the Wake County court system. E! News reported that his next court date is set for April 30. Jamieson’s representatives have not widely addressed the allegations in public reports.

The case has gained traction because of the stark contrast. One part of the story reaches back to a blockbuster teen franchise. The other centers on a criminal case involving gunfire in a Raleigh neighborhood.

That gap is exactly why the arrest spread so quickly online. Still, the next meaningful update will come from court, not fan speculation. Until then, Jamieson faces allegations that could carry major legal consequences.
