Khloé Kardashian thought things with Lamar Odom were finally in a stable place. That is clearly over. The reality star is now speaking out with real frustration after Odom’s recent documentary comments stirred up old pain and put her name back in the middle of a story she says she handled with care for years.
On the April 15 episode of her ‘Khloé in Wonder Land’ podcast, Kardashian said she is furious that “I’m even involved” in Netflix’s ‘Untold: The Death & Life of Lamar Odom’. Talking with Malika Haqq, she made it clear she feels blindsided by how Odom has discussed her while promoting the project. For her, the issue is not just the documentary. It is what came after.
“I think what’s (explicit for making me angry) is we did this all good,” Kardashian said. “But now Lamar is doing press, annoyed with me … discrediting me, saying that I wasn’t the one that helped him.”
Khloé Says Lamar Changed the Story
Kardashian said she only agreed to participate after being told the documentary could not be completed without her voice. Even then, she says she held back and chose not to expose parts of the story that would have reflected worse on Odom.
“All I did was tell the story that I was asked by you to tell, but now to play in my face and now to act like I didn’t do any of the things I did and insinuate I’m a liar is crazy,” she said.
She doubled down on that point later in the conversation. “I haven’t said 90 percent of the stories I have,” Kardashian said. “I couldn’t have been nicer about the information I offered.”
That is the part doing the damage here. Kardashian is not just upset. She is saying she protected him, stayed quiet for years, and is now being repaid with public doubt.
The Comment That Set Her Off
The tension appears tied in part to Odom’s April 6 appearance on ‘Today with Jenna & Sheinelle’, where he was asked if Kardashian saved his life. His answer was careful, but it clearly did not sit well with her.
“In some ways. God saved my life. My Lord saved my life, honestly,” Odom said. He added, “She took care of me. God took care of me the most. What I came back from was a medical miracle.”
He also pushed back on Kardashian’s claim in the documentary that his father said he should not be kept on life support. “I was knocked out and asleep at that time, but if you know Joe Odom, I don’t think that’s something that would ever come out of his mouth,” he said. “He was my biggest fan, and I don’t know where that got mistranslated.”
As the podcast discussion wrapped, Kardashian widened the lens and tied the whole mess to why she has not dated in years. “Let’s go back 10 years, and I can give you every man I’ve been with and what … trauma they cause me on a daily basis,” she said. Instead of jumping into another relationship, she said she would rather focus on raising her children and building memories with them.
That may be the clearest takeaway here. For Kardashian, this is not old gossip getting recycled. It is old damage showing up again.
