Kim Kardashian walked into a Broadway night carrying a purse so tiny it barely looked real. The price tag, though, was very real.
The 45-year-old mogul attended a showing of ‘The Fear of 13’ in New York City on Sunday, May 3, and her accessory immediately pulled attention. Kardashian carried what appeared to be a Hermès Kellymorphose Sac Bijou, a 4-inch luxury piece that can cost nearly $100,000.
So, was it a purse? Technically, barely.
Kim Kardashian’s Tiny Hermès Bag Came With A Giant Price
The accessory was reportedly designed by Hermès creative director Pierre Hardy in 2021. According to luxury resale platform Janefinds, the miniature piece can be worn as a necklace, crossbody accessory or charm.
Kardashian skipped the chainlink strap and carried it like a traditional purse, which made the whole thing look even stranger. It was tiny, shiny, and wildly expensive.
Despite its size, the Hermès piece can reportedly cost up to $99,950. That means Kardashian brought a six-figure fashion flex to Broadway, even though the bag looked too small to hold much more than a secret.
The timing also helped push the look into gossip territory. Kardashian was in New York just ahead of the 2026 Met Gala, where every style choice gets picked apart before the main carpet even begins.

Her Broadway Look Had A Vintage Fashion Edge
Kardashian paired the tiny accessory with a cheongsam-inspired Christian Dior by John Galliano Fall 1997 dress.
The dress featured floral details, a studded high neck and a high slit. She wore her hair in a bun, keeping the focus on the structured dress and that almost comically small Hermès piece.
Kardashian was attending ‘The Fear of 13,’ a Broadway production she is co-producing. The play stars Adrien Brody as Nick Yarris, who spent 22 years on death row for a murder he did not commit.
Still, the bag became its own side story. With Kardashian, it usually does.
Kim’s Met Gala History Still Follows Her
Kardashian has been attending the Met Gala for 13 years, starting with her 2013 debut while pregnant with daughter North West.
Her appearances have often turned into major pop-culture moments. The biggest backlash came in 2022, when she wore the original Marilyn Monroe gown used during Monroe’s famous 1962 performance for President John F. Kennedy.
Kardashian attended that Met Gala with then-boyfriend Pete Davidson and later said she changed her body to fit into the dress.
“I tried it on and it didn’t fit me. I said, ‘Give me three weeks.’ I had to lose 16 pounds down today,” she told Vogue on the carpet. “It was such a challenge. It was like a [movie] role. I was determined to fit [into] it. I haven’t had carbs or sugar in about three weeks.”
This time, Kardashian did not need a historic dress to start a conversation. A 4-inch Hermès bag with a nearly $100,000 price tag did the job.
