Lily Collins is stepping into one of Hollywood’s most legendary pairs of ballet flats.
The Emily in Paris star has officially signed on to portray Audrey Hepburn in a new film centered on the making of the 1961 classic Breakfast at Tiffany’s. The project is inspired by Sam Wasson’s bestselling book Fifth Avenue, 5 AM, which explores how the film reshaped pop culture—and cemented Hepburn as a timeless icon.
Collins confirmed the news on Instagram, revealing that the role has been nearly a decade in the making. Calling herself “honored” and “ecstatic,” she shared that her admiration for Hepburn stretches back years, making this casting deeply personal. For many fans, the resemblance alone—those brows, that elegance—makes the choice feel almost destined.
Audrey Hepburn, who won an Oscar for Roman Holiday in 1953, became the face of Hollywood sophistication with films like Sabrina, Funny Face, and, of course, Breakfast at Tiffany’s. Her portrayal of Holly Golightly earned her another Academy Award nomination and turned the little black dress into cinematic history.
Collins, meanwhile, continues her own red-carpet reign. With Emily in Paris renewed for a sixth season and an upcoming lead role in Amazon’s Polly Pocket adaptation, she’s stacking projects fast. But stepping into Hepburn’s heels may be her boldest—and most scrutinized—move yet.
