Shia LaBeouf is back in the headlines after another tense public moment. A video from Rome shows the actor in a heated exchange with a woman at an outdoor café. The clip landed just weeks after his Mardi Gras arrest in New Orleans. That timing has made the footage feel even more alarming. Now the latest images are adding to fresh concern about where things stand for him.

Shia LaBeouf’s Rome video sparks new concern

TMZ reported that LaBeouf was seen shouting at a woman while seated outside a restaurant in Rome. In the clip, he appears to lean toward her, yell, and then pace in the street nearby. It is not fully clear from the footage whether he kept directing his anger at the same person once he moved away from the table.

The Rome video surfaced days after another strange scene in the city. TMZ also published footage showing LaBeouf in a hotel lobby wearing only underwear while asking for a light for his cigarette. On its own, that clip already raised eyebrows. Paired with the café footage, it made the Italy trip look much more volatile.

Shia LaBeouf’s legal troubles keep growing

The backdrop makes all of this much harder to shrug off. In February, New Orleans police arrested LaBeouf over an alleged altercation during Mardi Gras. Authorities said he faced simple battery charges after reportedly hitting multiple people outside a bar, and court coverage said a judge ordered him into substance abuse treatment and drug testing while setting a $100,000 bond.

That case quickly became a bigger story because it suggested a pattern, not just one bad night. Reports from New Orleans described the judge as viewing him as a public safety risk when intoxicated. So when the Rome video appeared, it did not feel like an isolated outburst. It looked more like another chapter in a very rough stretch.

Why fans are watching this differently now

LaBeouf has long been one of Hollywood’s most unpredictable figures, but this moment feels heavier because of how close the incidents have landed together. The Rome footage, the hotel clip, and the New Orleans case all arrived within weeks. That has shifted the conversation away from shock value and toward worry about his stability.

For now, the Rome footage answers very little about what sparked the argument. But it does reinforce the sense that LaBeouf remains stuck in a highly public spiral of conflict, scrutiny, and legal trouble. Until there is more clarity from him or from the court process, each new clip is likely to deepen that concern rather than calm it.
