Timothée Chalamet is sending fans into overdrive with the first official glimpse of Dune: Part Three, and the transformation of his character is already one of the biggest talking points online. The actor shared an early look at the upcoming film, quickly followed by a series of new images released on the franchise’s official social media accounts.

The most striking image features Chalamet as Paul Atreides, staring intensely into the camera while wearing a Fremen stillsuit. This version of Paul looks noticeably older and hardened, with visible wrinkles and deep red scars marking his face. The visual shift hints at the toll of life on Arrakis and signals a darker, more battle-worn phase for the character.

Fans also got their first look at Robert Pattinson, who joins the franchise as the mysterious villain Scytale. His addition has fueled excitement around the already star-packed cast, which includes returning favorites Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Javier Bardem, Florence Pugh, and Anya Taylor-Joy. Jason Momoa is also set to return in a surprising comeback, adding another layer of intrigue to the story.

These early images arrive just ahead of the film’s highly anticipated trailer, which is expected to drop later this week. Industry buzz suggests it could debut alongside Project Hail Mary, further building momentum for one of the most anticipated releases of the year.

Director Denis Villeneuve is once again leading the project, though he has indicated this installment will stand apart from the first two films. Rather than viewing the series as a traditional trilogy, Villeneuve has described the first two movies as a complete adaptation of Frank Herbert’s original novel, with the third film offering a distinct continuation with its own identity.

The previous Dune films have been major global successes, earning over $1.1 billion at the box office and establishing the franchise as a defining sci-fi epic of its generation. With a release date set for December 18, 2026, expectations are high as audiences prepare to return to Arrakis for what could be the saga’s most intense chapter yet.
