Patrick J. Adams is opening up about what has helped keep his marriage to actress Troian Bellisario strong for nearly a decade. The Suits star recently shared insight into their relationship while attending the New York City premiere of his new series The Madison on March 9, offering a rare glimpse into how the couple has maintained a lasting bond in Hollywood.
Adams, 44, said the foundation of their marriage comes down to communication, patience, and supporting each other through every stage of life. Speaking about their relationship, he explained that truly listening to one another and showing up for each other during both good times and challenges has been key to making their partnership work.

Adams and Bellisario became engaged in 2014 and later exchanged vows in 2016 during a unique California ceremony that turned into a full weekend celebration. Friends and family stayed together in a glamping-style setting, sleeping in tents under the stars as they gathered to celebrate the couple’s big day.
Bellisario stunned in a flowing Cortana wedding gown paired with an Amaroq headpiece, while Adams opted for a classic navy three-piece Ralph Lauren suit. The event drew a star-studded guest list, including several of Bellisario’s Pretty Little Liars castmates such as Lucy Hale, Ashley Benson, Sasha Pieterse, Keegan Allen, and Ian Harding. Adams’ Suits co-star Sarah Rafferty was also there to witness the couple’s memorable celebration.
Today, Adams and Bellisario are focused on family life as parents to three children: daughters Aurora and Elliot, along with their youngest addition. While juggling busy careers in the entertainment industry, the pair have continued to prioritize their home life and their growing family.
