Heidi Klum says her ADHD is one of the reasons she has been able to juggle a demanding career for decades.

The supermodel and television host recently revealed that she has Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder during an interview with Glamour Germany for the magazine’s 25th anniversary issue.

“I have a form of ADHD,” Klum said, adding that many people were unaware of the diagnosis.

Rather than seeing it as a setback, Klum said she views the condition as an advantage.

“I see ADHD as a positive thing because it allows me to multitask like a pro,” she explained. “It’s my superpower.”

Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder is a common developmental condition that can affect focus, impulse control, and activity levels. According to the U.S. National Institute of Mental Health, people with ADHD may experience difficulty maintaining attention, heightened energy levels, or impulsive behavior.

Klum believes those traits have helped her thrive in a career that spans modeling, television hosting, producing, and entrepreneurship.

“My ADHD makes me super hyperactive,” she said. “I can juggle a thousand different tasks at once. I’m constantly working on multiple projects and always ready to take on more.”

The German-born star currently hosts Germany’s Next Topmodel and has returned to her longtime role on Project Runway. Over the years she has also built businesses, produced television shows, and become known for her elaborate annual Halloween costumes.

Klum previously told People that her work ethic is one of the driving forces behind her success.

“I’m a total workaholic and control freak,” she said. “I’ve been laser-focused on my shows, making sure everything that comes out of them is top-notch. I absolutely love what I do.”

Now in her 50s, Klum said she has no plans to slow down and rejects the idea that women past a certain age should step out of the spotlight.

“The biggest misconception about being in your 50s is that you’re past your prime,” she said. “That’s so not true. We’re front and center, ready to be seen.”

For Klum, the constant energy that comes with ADHD is something she embraces rather than tries to hide.

“Beauty is constantly evolving,” she said. “Life would be boring if everything stayed the same.”
