A new public feud is unfolding in conservative media after Candace Owens made explosive claims about Erika Kirk, the widow of the late Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk. In a recent episode of her YouTube series Bride of Charlie, Owens accused Erika Kirk of misrepresenting her dating history before meeting Charlie.
The controversy centers on remarks Erika made during a CBS Town Hall in December 2025. During the event, she said that she had been single for five years while living in New York before meeting Charlie Kirk in 2018. Owens is now disputing that timeline, claiming the statement is inaccurate and promising to reveal evidence in upcoming episodes of her online series.
In the February 28 episode, Owens directly challenged Erika Kirk’s account. She alleged that details about Kirk’s past relationships do not align with the narrative she publicly presented. Owens also suggested that Kirk’s recollections of certain events appear inconsistent, though she did not present definitive proof during the episode.
Owens said she plans to release what she calls “receipts” to support her claims in future installments of the series. For now, however, much of the discussion has centered on interpretations of past interviews, online posts, and rumored past relationships connected to Kirk.
One example frequently cited by critics involves a reported audition tape for The Amazing Race that Kirk allegedly filmed with a former boyfriend in 2014. If accurate, that timeline would overlap with the period she later described as years of singlehood. Internet users have also pointed to a deleted Instagram post that reportedly showed Kirk attending a painting class with another media figure.
The dispute has gained attention partly because of the high-profile figures involved and the tragic backdrop of Charlie Kirk’s death. The Turning Point USA founder was assassinated in September 2025 while speaking at a campus event in Utah, a moment that shocked political and media circles.
As the back-and-forth continues online, the claims remain contested. Owens says additional evidence will surface in future episodes of her series, while Erika Kirk has not publicly responded to the latest accusations.
