Fans of Prime Video’s Reacher have received a promising update about the show’s next chapter. Alan Ritchson, who plays the title character in the hit action series, confirmed that filming for Season 4 has finished and that the new season is expected to arrive later this year.
Ritchson shared the update during an interview with Collider while promoting his upcoming project War Machine. According to the actor, production has officially wrapped on the next installment of the series.
He said the new season is already complete and described it as the strongest entry in the show so far. While Prime Video has not yet announced an exact premiere date, his comments suggest viewers will not have to wait long for the series to return.
The confirmation helps clarify the timeline for the popular adaptation of Lee Child’s novels. Reacher has been one of Prime Video’s most successful original action series since its debut, with each season drawing strong streaming numbers and expanding the show’s fan base.
Ritchson also previously revealed that Season 4 will feature an unusually high number of action sequences. According to the actor, the eight-episode season includes roughly 30 fight scenes, making it the most physically demanding installment of the series to date.
The upcoming season will continue the story after the dramatic events of the Season 3 finale. In that episode, Jack Reacher defeated longtime enemy Francis Xavier Quinn, who had been responsible for the death of Reacher’s former protégé Dominique Kohl. After the confrontation, Reacher parted ways with Frances Neagley and set off alone on a motorcycle, continuing his characteristically solitary journey.
Another development in the Reacher universe is also on the horizon. A spin-off series centered on Frances Neagley, played by Maria Sten, has already been filmed and is expected to arrive before or around the same time as Season 4. Ritchson is also expected to make an appearance in that series.
Although Prime Video has yet to confirm an exact premiere date, Ritchson’s update indicates that viewers can expect the next season of Reacher to debut sometime in 2026.
