Goldberg addressed the comment during the March 9 broadcast of the daytime talk show, saying that dismissing another artistic discipline can be problematic.
She said criticism of another art form does not sit well and described such remarks as unpleasant to hear.
Chalamet’s original comment was made during a Variety and CNN town hall event at the University of Texas, where he appeared alongside actor Matthew McConaughey.
