Cardi B has reportedly ended her relationship with NFL star Stefon Diggs after sources say trust issues pushed the rapper to walk away just days before Super Bowl LX. According to people close to the situation, the split came after tensions between the pair reached a breaking point.

An insider told PEOPLE that Cardi ultimately decided to step back when she felt the relationship had become too complicated. “Things were getting too heated,” the source said, adding that the rapper is known for having a no-nonsense attitude when it comes to personal boundaries. Once she felt she couldn’t trust Diggs anymore, the source said, she shifted her focus back to her children, her music career, and her ongoing tour.

Rumors about trouble in the relationship began circulating shortly after the Super Bowl on February 8. Fans noticed that Cardi and Diggs had unfollowed each other on Instagram following the Patriots’ 29–13 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. Cardi had attended the game at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, appearing during Bad Bunny’s halftime performance, but she left before the second half and later posted a video from her car on Instagram Stories.

The day before the game, Cardi was asked by an ESPN reporter whether she had a message for Diggs ahead of the matchup. Her brief response—“good luck”—and quick exit from the conversation fueled speculation online that something might already be wrong between the two.

Sources later told Page Six that the breakup actually happened a few days before the Super Bowl and that the relationship had experienced multiple ups and downs in the past. One insider claimed Diggs had “betrayed her so many times,” adding that several of Cardi’s friends had previously encouraged her to move on from the relationship.

Reports also noted that Diggs was seen at the Super Bowl with a woman identified as Pree, who has reportedly been linked in the past to Cardi’s estranged husband, Offset. A video shared by the NFL showed Diggs greeting the woman before kickoff, which quickly fueled further speculation about the state of his relationship with the rapper.

Cardi addressed the breakup indirectly during a February 15 stop on her Little Miss Drama tour in Los Angeles. While responding to criticism from rapper BIA about Diggs, Cardi defended the football star onstage, telling the crowd that even though they were no longer together, it didn’t give others the right to attack him publicly.

The couple first sparked dating rumors in October 2024 and later made their relationship public during a New York Knicks game in May 2025. They welcomed a son together on November 4, 2025. Despite the reported breakup, sources say the door may not be completely closed, suggesting the pair could reconnect in the future.
