Britney Spears’ Instagram account has been deactivated following reports of her recent DUI arrest in California.
Fans attempting to visit the pop star’s page were met with the message, “Sorry, this page isn’t available,” sparking speculation about whether Spears chose to deactivate the account herself or if it was removed for another reason.
The development came shortly after reports that Spears had been arrested in Ventura County on March 4 on suspicion of driving under the influence.
According to the California Highway Patrol, officers observed a vehicle driving erratically at high speed before stopping the driver, who authorities identified as Spears. Officials said she appeared impaired and was taken into custody after undergoing field sobriety tests.
The arrest was reportedly made under California Vehicle Code section 23152(g), which addresses driving under the influence involving drugs, alcohol or a combination of both.
Spears has not publicly commented on the incident. However, a representative described the situation as “an unfortunate incident” and said the singer intends to comply with legal requirements moving forward.
The spokesperson added that Spears’ family and support system are working together to help her navigate the situation and focus on her well-being.
Spears has taken breaks from social media in the past, occasionally deactivating her Instagram account for short periods.
It remains unclear whether the latest disappearance of her account is temporary or related to the recent legal issue.
