Rachel Zoe says she’s enjoying a different pace of life — and dating — following her separation from husband Rodger Berman.
The fashion designer and stylist, 54, spoke about her personal life in a recent interview with Interview magazine, describing her return to dating as relaxed and lighthearted after filing for divorce in July 2025. The filing came nearly a year after the couple publicly announced their separation.
Zoe said she isn’t approaching relationships with the same expectations she once had.
“I don’t ‘need a man’ for traditional reasons,” she explained. “I’m financially independent. I’m socially independent. I have my kids. For me it’s more about enjoying life.”
She added that many of the people she has been spending time with recently happen to be younger.
“I’m definitely spending time with guys who are younger,” Zoe said, describing them as creative, energetic and thoughtful individuals she connects with.
While she is currently keeping things casual, Zoe said she is not completely ruling out the possibility of marriage again someday.
Reflecting on her long relationship with Berman, Zoe emphasized that she looks back on their time together positively. The couple were married for 26 years and share two children.
“We had a great love story,” she said. “I can’t have regrets about that.”
Zoe also joked about her general view of men, describing many of them as having a playful “Peter Pan” quality.
“I come from a family with incredible men,” she said. “But I do think all men have a little bit of that Peter Pan thing. I don’t mean it in a negative way.”
In a previous interview with People in December 2025, Zoe said that dating had come naturally since the split, adding that anyone entering her life now needs to bring positivity and feel like a natural fit for where she is today.
