Lindsay Lohan’s decision to remain in Dubai during escalating tensions in the Middle East has reportedly raised concerns among her family and close friends.
According to a report from the Daily Mail, the actress’s loved ones are worried about her safety as regional conflict involving Iran has heightened fears across parts of the Middle East.
Lohan, 39, has been living in Dubai with her husband, financier Bader Shammas, and their young son, Luai. The couple married on April 2, 2022, after several years together.
Dubai has long been considered a refuge for celebrities seeking privacy and security away from the spotlight. However, recent developments in the region have made some residents reconsider their safety.
Reports of explosions in nearby cities such as Abu Dhabi and Dubai following missile strikes targeting regional military bases have increased anxiety among expatriates and locals alike.
Despite the growing tensions, Lohan has reportedly chosen to remain in the United Arab Emirates, where she has lived since relocating from the United States in 2014.
Sources close to the actress say her family has been checking in frequently as the situation unfolds.
“There’s a lot of unrest over there,” one insider told the outlet, adding that relatives have been in constant contact with Lohan to make sure she is safe.
“For now, she’s safe,” the source said.
The insider also noted that although Lohan feels comfortable in Dubai after living there for more than a decade, the current atmosphere has created unease.
“Even though Lindsay feels at home in Dubai, it’s a tense time for everyone, including her,” the source explained.
Over the years, Lohan has spoken publicly about how moving to Dubai helped her find balance and distance from the intense media attention she faced earlier in her career.
In a past interview with Vogue Arabia, the Mean Girls star described life in the city as grounding and family-oriented.
“Living in Dubai provides a sense of grounding,” she said. “It allows me to focus on quality time with my family. The city helps me stay connected to what truly matters.”
For now, Lohan appears committed to staying in the place she now considers home, even as regional tensions continue to unfold.
