Snoop Dogg is stepping into the Beckham family drama—and he’s making it clear where he stands.
The rap legend has spoken out about the reported rift between longtime friend David Beckham and Beckham’s eldest son, Brooklyn, after Brooklyn shared a fiery social media post criticizing his parents. While Snoop didn’t dive into the specifics of the fallout, he offered a public show of support for David and a candid take on fatherhood.
“David’s my homie—we go back more than 20 years,” Snoop said in a recent interview. “But even with all his success, nothing means more to him than his family.” The rapper acknowledged that parenting isn’t easy, adding, “No father is perfect. We all slip up, but there’s always room for forgiveness.”
The tension reportedly escalated after Brooklyn accused his parents, David and Victoria Beckham, of being controlling. Among the claims, he alleged that Victoria interfered with his first dance with wife Nicola Peltz at their lavish wedding. The post sparked widespread speculation about a deeper family divide.
Snoop, who has long shared a close bond with David, emphasized that he respects how his friend is handling the situation. “He knows my door’s always open,” Snoop said, noting that conversations about their kids have always stayed private. “If he opened up to me, it’d stay between us.”
The rapper also reflected on his own experiences as a father, admitting he’s made mistakes but believes in showing up for his children no matter what. “Being a parent is about having your kids’ back,” he said. “I’ve messed up, but my family stood by me. You’ve got to pay that forward.”
