The Irwin family is honoring the life and legacy of Steve Irwin on what would have been his 64th birthday, sharing heartfelt tributes to the beloved conservationist and television icon. On Saturday, Terri Irwin and her children, Bindi and Robert, each took to Instagram with personal messages and cherished photos celebrating the “Crocodile Hunter.”
Terri reflected on the love and adventure Steve brought into their lives, writing, “Today would have been Steve’s 64th birthday. We’re remembering all the love, laughter, and incredible adventures.” She encouraged supporters to continue his conservation mission, urging fans to honor his legacy by protecting wildlife around the world.

Bindi, who was just 8 years old when her father died in 2006, shared a touching note of her own. “Happy Birthday, Dad. We miss you tremendously,” she wrote, adding that her daughter Grace lovingly refers to him as “Grandpa Crocodile” and calls him her guardian angel. Robert also posted a childhood photo with his dad, thanking him for being a constant source of inspiration and guidance.
Steve’s legacy has recently been spotlighted again through Robert’s winning run on Dancing with the Stars. Throughout the competition, Robert paid tribute to his father in several emotional performances, calling the experience deeply therapeutic. With Terri and Bindi joining him for special routines during the season, the family once again demonstrated that Steve’s spirit—and his passion for wildlife—continues to unite and inspire them.
