Sharon Osbourne is opening up about the emotional final chapter of Ozzy Osbourne’s life, revealing that the legendary rocker was fully aware of the risks surrounding his last performance. Ozzy, the iconic Black Sabbath frontman, passed away in July 2025—just weeks after reuniting with his band for what would become his farewell show in Birmingham.

Appearing on the Dumb Blonde podcast with Bunnie XO, Sharon, 73, spoke candidly about life after losing her husband. “I’m getting there. It’s hard—Jesus, it’s hard—but I’m making progress,” she shared. Reflecting on Ozzy’s final performance, she revealed that doctors had warned he could die within weeks of the show. “Two weeks before the show, they said he could probably die—and he did. But he wanted to do it so badly. He needed it.”

Ozzy, who had lost the ability to walk due to Parkinson’s disease, performed seated on a throne during the livestreamed concert. According to Sharon, he was resolute about going out on his own terms. “It’s like, ‘Whether I die in two weeks or six months, I’m still dying. And I want to go out my way.’ And he did. He went out like a true rock star.” Sharon described the moment as bittersweet, noting that a prior battle with sepsis had already prepared the family for the inevitable.

The Osbourne family recently honored Ozzy at the Grammy Awards, where Post Malone, Slash, Duff McKagan, and Chad Smith delivered a tribute performance. Sharon later praised the musicians on Instagram, calling the night “a moment etched into music history” and celebrating Ozzy’s enduring legacy. For her, his final bow wasn’t just a goodbye—it was a statement worthy of a king of rock.
