The upcoming Baywatch revival is already making waves—and fans may see some familiar faces return to shore.
Stephen Amell addressed speculation about whether original stars Pamela Anderson and David Hasselhoff could appear in Fox’s reimagined version of the iconic ’90s series. Speaking to Us Weekly on February 18, the 44-year-old actor confirmed that a return isn’t off the table. “Of course we could,” Amell said, fueling excitement about potential cameos.
Still, Amell admitted he has intentionally avoided learning too much about production details. He explained that staying in the dark helps him avoid feeling overwhelmed and allows him to experience the script organically when it arrives. “I specifically told them not to tell me,” he said, adding that too much information can clutter his creative process.

Fox officially announced the reboot in September 2025, describing it as a “reimagined” take on the beloved series that originally aired from 1989 to 2001. The classic show followed lifeguards navigating high-stakes rescues and dramatic personal storylines along the beaches of California and Hawaii, becoming a global pop culture phenomenon.
While the new version will retain signature Baywatch elements, Amell teased a more emotionally grounded approach. Alongside the action and sun-soaked visuals, the reboot will focus heavily on a family-centered narrative, signaling a deeper character-driven evolution of the franchise.
