Taylor Swift has done it again—making history for the sixth time.
The global superstar has officially been named the IFPI Global Artist of the Year for 2025, marking her sixth win overall and her fourth consecutive year topping the prestigious chart. The International Federation of the Phonographic Industry announced the honor on Wednesday, cementing Swift’s continued dominance in worldwide music sales and streaming.
The IFPI Global Artist Chart recognizes the biggest-selling artist across physical sales, digital downloads, and streaming platforms combined. Swift’s latest victory underscores not only her massive fan base but also her ability to consistently deliver record-breaking releases year after year.
Victoria Oakley, CEO of IFPI, called Swift’s sixth win a “truly historic achievement,” highlighting the global reach of her music and the sustained impact of her projects. The award reflects performance across international markets, proving Swift’s influence stretches far beyond the U.S.
The milestone caps off another huge year for the singer-songwriter, who released her twelfth studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, along with a documentary miniseries, The End of an Era, chronicling her record-shattering Eras Tour. With six Global Artist of the Year titles now under her belt, Swift continues to set the standard for worldwide success in the music industry.
