Jill Zarin is out of a job after a fiery rant about Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime show exploded online—and the fallout was swift.

The Real Housewives of New York City alum was dropped from the upcoming E! reunion series The Golden Life just days after it was announced. Producers confirmed Tuesday they would not be moving forward with her involvement following controversial comments she made about Bad Bunny’s performance at Super Bowl LX.

In a now-deleted video that quickly resurfaced on X, Zarin called the halftime show “the worst ever” and criticized the performance for being delivered in Spanish. She also took issue with what she described as inappropriate choreography, saying it was unsuitable for families watching at home.

The backlash intensified when Zarin continued discussing the performance over the weekend, stating she wished she had understood the lyrics and questioning the show’s tone and presentation. Additional remarks about the absence of white performers and suggestions that the performance carried a political message drew sharp criticism online.

Late Tuesday, Blink49 Studios, the production company behind The Golden Life, released a statement saying it had decided not to proceed with Zarin’s involvement in light of her public comments. The statement emphasized the company’s commitment to its standards and values but did not elaborate further.

Zarin has not issued a formal apology, though the original video was removed from her social media. Her comments have sparked heated debate, with critics accusing her of cultural insensitivity and supporters defending her right to express her opinion.

The Golden Life was positioned as a high-profile reunion-style series, marking a potential return to the spotlight for several reality TV veterans. For Zarin, however, that comeback appears to have stalled before it even began.
