Cardi B is once again refusing to let the internet dictate her life. The Grammy-winning rapper fired back at online critics after her partner, New England Patriots star Stefon Diggs, was charged with felony strangulation and misdemeanor assault following an alleged altercation with his private chef on December 2.

While Diggs faces serious legal trouble, Cardi B has become the target of intense social media backlash—something she’s not taking quietly. In a heated video shared Monday on X, she slammed her haters for judging her choices. “Y’all need to chill,” she snapped. “What’s wrong with y’all? For the past three, four days, you’ve been coming at me way too hard.” Her post, captioned “We need a reset,” quickly went viral as fans and critics flooded the comments.

The message was unmistakable: Cardi B isn’t apologizing for who she loves or how she lives.

According to police reports, Diggs allegedly attacked his private chef after an argument over unpaid wages, entering her unlocked bedroom and choking her with his elbow before tossing her onto a bed. Initially reluctant to press charges, the woman changed her mind weeks later. Diggs’ attorney, David Meier, called the accusations “baseless” and said they stem from “a financial dispute, not a crime.” The Patriots and the NFL have both said they’re aware of the situation but are withholding further comment while investigations continue.

Cardi B’s frustration, however, seems less about the case itself and more about the judgment she’s facing from strangers. “I can’t change the past. I’ve already had a baby,” she said with exasperation. “What—you want me to stuff my baby back in my uterus?”

The rapper, who’s juggling motherhood, a high-profile relationship, and an upcoming 2026 tour, said she’s overwhelmed and simply wants support. “I need my people, my family, to have my back right now,” she told followers. “So wish me the same, okay? And just let me be.”

While rumors swirl that Cardi may have reached out to the alleged victim with a financial offer—a claim still unverified—what’s clear is that she’s had enough of public moral policing. In a world where every celebrity move sparks outrage, Cardi’s message rings loud: she’s done playing by the internet’s rules.
