Apink’s Yoon Bomi recently recounted a harrowing period when a bomb terrorist targeted her.

On Monday, MBCevery1’s Hidden Eye featured Yoon Bomi from Apink as a special guest for the second consecutive week.

The show highlighted a video related to the “K-University Safe Return Service” challenge, which has recently gone viral among college students.

The disturbing footage showed a masked man menacing an unsuspecting woman, forcing her to flee to her home. The video was shockingly described as “randomly selecting a woman to escort home,” causing widespread outrage.

This unsettling trend, masquerading as a ‘Safe Return Service,’ features videos of women being pursued while walking home alone late at night.

Park Ha Seon expressed her indignation, questioning, “Why even bother with higher education if this is the result?” She emphasized the terror such actions would inflict on female victims.

As the controversy escalated, the students behind the video claimed it was staged with the woman’s consent, citing it as a parody of a popular overseas video.

However, it was revealed that some international challenge videos depicted real situations, not staged ones. One such video garnered 60 million views and 8.9 million likes.

Park Ha Seon shared her own experiences, stating, “When returning home late, I always activate a safe return app or pretend to call my father. It’s appalling that we need to resort to such measures.”

Profiler Pyo Chang Won drew a parallel to historical oppression, noting, “This behavior mirrors the power dynamics seen during the Japanese colonial period, where the strong exert dominance over the weak.”

He further warned, “Regardless of whether it’s staged, this content can severely traumatize victims of past incidents. It risks desensitizing society to crime, and most alarmingly, it could justify actual criminals.”

The video stirred memories for Yoon Bomi of her encounter with a bomb terrorist. She disclosed, “The threats disrupted my schedule and even targeted a store, necessitating security protection.” She added, “The psychological toll was immense, especially when they threatened my family. Stalking is a form of mental assassination.”

Previously, Apink faced numerous schedule cancellations and delays due to threatening calls from a suspected stalker and a bomb terrorist. The group reportedly suffered significant psychological stress from the terrorism and death threats.

Events featuring Apink were delayed for security sweeps following bomb threats, causing public panic and evacuations.

Hidden Eye is a crime analysis commentary show that examines dangerous incidents captured on CCTV, airing every Monday at 7:40 PM.
