On Tuesday, BTS member V surprised fans by posting a heartfelt birthday tribute to Son Heung Min on social media. Along with the simple message “HBD,” V shared a warm photo featuring himself, Son Heung Min, and world-renowned Cho Seong Jin.

The snapshot captures the trio sitting side by side on a bench, smiling brightly, capturing a genuine moment of friendship among these global icons from K-pop, sports, and classical music.

July 8 marks Son Heung Min’s birthday, and V’s post was a sweet way to celebrate his close friend’s special day.

Fans quickly took notice, calling it an epic gathering of the world-class figures in their respective fields. Comments poured in, including: “An amazing meetup of giants from music, soccer, and classical,” “All three are heavy hitters,” “Such an inspiring sight,” and “These folks are truly on another level.”

Meanwhile, V recently completed his mandatory military service in June, an important milestone for BTS fans. Following V, members Jimin, Jungkook, and Suga are expected to complete their service one after another, marking the end of the group’s nearly three-year hiatus from military service. BTS is set for a full-group comeback in 2026.

Earlier this month, all seven BTS members announced on Weverse Live that they are fully focusing on music starting this July, with plans to release a group album next spring. They emphasized a return to their roots with this highly anticipated comeback.

They also teased a world tour set to kick off in spring 2026, promising to visit cities around the globe and encouraging fans to stay tuned.

This upcoming album will be BTS’s first new release in four years, since its 2022 anthology album, Proof, following its special performance at the Yet to Come in Busan event, which supported Busan’s bid for the 2030 World Expo.
