Kim Yoo Jung recently shared her hopes of being remembered for her romantic roles rather than villainous ones in a candid interview.
On Tuesday, COSMOPOLITAN Korea dropped a new video titled “Kim Yoo Jung’s First Ever Balance Game: Why She Chose the Unexpected Option.”

In the video, the actress took part in an AI-powered interview, where she was asked to choose between filming a five-minute emotional scene after a five-hour rehearsal or shooting a dance routine. Without missing a beat, Kim opted for the emotional scene.
“I’ve actually had similar experiences,” Kim Yoo Jung explained. “In My Demon, I danced the tango, and in Love in the Moonlight, I performed a solo dance. Both scenes took several days to film, so I’m comfortable with intense emotional moments.”
When asked whether she’d prefer to be known as a go-to actress for villain roles or as an iconic first love, Kim Yoo Jung thoughtfully responded, “While both are interesting, I’d love to be remembered as someone’s first love. I want to leave a positive, heartwarming impression on my audience.”

Kim Yoo Jung is currently gearing up for her role in Dear X, a drama based on a popular webtoon of the same name.
During the interview, she jokingly asked the AI to predict her fortune for the second half of the year and how it matched with Dear X. The AI responded optimistically, claiming that Kim Yoo Jung’s name would be etched in people’s memories in a fresh and exciting way. Kim Yoo Jung laughed and said, “That sounds too good to be true. Is my compatibility really 100%?”

The actress seemed pleased with the AI’s prediction that her upcoming role could become a defining character in her career.
Dear X is a dark yet beautiful melodrama thriller about a woman who wears a metaphorical mask to survive, and a man who is determined to save her. The series is set to premiere on the streaming platform TVING.
