


Park Bo Gum is setting his sights beyond the screen, revealing a desire to challenge himself in new ways, including diving deeper into foreign languages and earning professional certifications in fields that pique his interest.
In a new video released Thursday by Esquire Korea titled “Which Character Does Park Bo Gum Love the Most?”, the star sat down for a candid Q&A, giving fans a closer look at his mindset, passions, and recent projects.
When asked what he’s most grateful for these days, Park Bo Gum shared, “Meeting great people, working on meaningful projects together, and simply being able to live a healthy life, those are things I’m truly thankful for.”
Looking ahead, he expressed a strong interest in personal growth. “I want to earn certifications in any field that captures my curiosity,” he said. “I’m also committed to studying foreign languages more intensively and taking my skills to the next level.”
As for his craft, Park Bo Gum emphasized the importance of understanding the story and relationships when building a performance. “To me, what matters most in acting is the emotional flow, narrative coherence, and the dynamic between characters,” he explained.
He also touched on his musical taste, saying jazz holds a special place in his heart. “I especially enjoy piano and cello duets, and I love when a bandoneon is part of the arrangement,” he noted, referencing the soulful accordion-like instrument often heard in tango music.
When it came time to name his favorite roles, Park Bo Gum pointed to his recent characters. “Right now, I feel the strongest connection to Yang Gwan Sik in When Life Gives You Tangerines and Yoon Dong Ju in Good Boy,” he said.
“It’s a real honor when people remember these characters by name. Their stories seem to resonate deeply with viewers, and that makes me feel especially connected to them.”
Park Bo Gum is currently starring in the new JTBC series Good Boy, a youth-driven action-comedy drama. The show follows a group of Olympic medalists who are recruited as police officers. Trading medals for badges, they take on crime and corruption as a unique, justice-seeking task force.
