In a recent interview on July 9, Tae Won Seok sat down at Ten Asia‘s office in Seoul to discuss his role in the JTBC drama Good Boy.

The series centers around a group of former national athletes, all medalists, who are reassigned to a special crime investigation unit. Tae Won Seok plays Shin Jae Hong, a police officer and former national discus thrower. His performance brings a unique blend of depth and relatability to the role.

During the interview, Tae Won Seok opened up about his initial skepticism towards Park Bo Gum. He laughed as he admitted, “Before I met him, I thought, Everyone has their flaws. If there’s a bright side, there’s got to be a dark side, too. But after working with him for a year, all those preconceptions were shattered. I kept thinking, How can someone be this perfect?”

Tae Won Seok also shared how much he learned from Park Bo Gum while working together. “I gained so much from him, not just in terms of acting but also professionalism,” he explained. “Even though he’s younger, he’s truly impressive. He doesn’t just try to outshine others; he lifts everyone around him.”

When asked about the atmosphere on set, Tae Won Seok’s face lit up. “It was incredibly positive,” he said. “There were so many moments of improvisation. That speaks volumes about the vibe on set. Everyone was excited to contribute, constantly bouncing ideas off each other and bringing something fresh to the table. The energy was always upbeat and collaborative.”

Finally, Tae Won Seok took a moment to thank his fans. “I’m so grateful for all the support,” he said, his eyes bright with sincerity. “I promise to keep pushing myself, to show different sides of my talent through exciting projects and performances.”
