Lee Min Ho, lead actor in the upcoming film Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint, recently shared his perspective on the ongoing celebrity privacy scandals that have been making headlines.
In an exclusive interview with DongA.com at a trendy café in Seoul’s Jongno District on Thursday, Lee Min Ho opened up about his role in the film and addressed some of the industry’s hot-button issues.

When asked if he ever feels anxious about the recent spate of celebrity scandals, Lee Min Ho responded thoughtfully, “I can’t say I’ve felt particularly anxious, but I’m always aware that it could happen to anyone, including myself. When personal emotions or desires surface, I try to focus on the bigger picture.”
He elaborated, “Privacy issues often stem from personal desires. I make a conscious effort to prioritize what’s truly important – my family, the projects I’m working on – and use that as a compass to keep my impulses in check.”

Lee Min Ho also acknowledged the challenges of navigating today’s hyper-sensitive social climate. “In this day and age, with so many people quick to take offense, you never know when an issue might blow up. But constantly worrying about that isn’t true to who I am. I strive to lead a balanced, healthy life while being mindful of my actions.”

Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint, set to hit theaters on July 23, is a high-concept fantasy action flick. The plot revolves around a long-running web novel that suddenly becomes reality on its final day of publication. Kim Dok Ja (Ahn Hyo Seop), the novel’s sole reader, must team up with protagonist Yu Jung Hyuk (Lee Min Ho) and others to survive in this newly apocalyptic world.
Lee Min Ho brings to life the character of Yu Jung Hyuk, the novel’s hero, who possesses extraordinary abilities, including a “regression” skill that allows him to restart his life after death. This power enables Yu to overcome any scenario, showcasing his unparalleled prowess and resilience.
