Lee Min Ho recently opened up about his career and upcoming film during an interview in Seoul’s Jongno district. The actor shared insights into his role in Omniscient Reader: The Prophet, which is set to hit theaters on July 23. Directed by Kim Byung Woo, the film is a fantasy action thriller based on a web novel.
The story follows the fictional world of a long-running online series that comes to life on its final day. Kim Dok Ja, the series’ sole reader, must team up with the novel’s protagonist, Yoo Joong Hyuk, to survive a post-apocalyptic world.

Following his breakout performance in the critically acclaimed series Pachinko, Lee Min Ho now tackles his first fantasy action film with Omniscient Reader: The Prophet.
In the interview, Lee reflected on his evolving career, saying, “When I look back at my twenties, it was a time of taking risks and embracing challenges that others might have been hesitant to take. It was about trying new things, even when they felt uncomfortable. Now, I’m entering a new chapter where I’m focusing more on creative freedom and balance.”
“I spent my twenties gathering experiences and the last 5 to 6 years processing those. Now, I’m really happy because I feel like I’ve found a balance between responsibility and the freedom to explore new creative opportunities,” he added.
Lee Min Ho also shared his admiration for fellow actor Lee Jung Jae, with whom he’s become close friends. “We’ve been spending a lot of time together lately. Lee Jung Jae’s passion and dedication to his craft are incredibly motivating. It’s taught me that living with that kind of intensity can fuel you.”
