Donald Trump’s Freedom 250 celebration is getting roasted online after several musical acts pulled out, and now Erika Kirk has been dragged into the mess.

The Great American State Fair, part of the nationwide Freedom 250 celebration for America’s 250th birthday, is scheduled to run on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., from June 25 to July 10.

The original lineup included names like Martina McBride, Bret Michaels, Young MC, C+C Music Factory, The Commodores, Morris Day & The Time, Flo Rida, Vanilla Ice, and Milli Vanilli.

Then the exits started.

Six performers have reportedly dropped out, leaving critics to mock the shrinking lineup and joke that Charlie Kirk’s widow, Erika Kirk, may need to step in to “save” the show.

Erika Kirk AI Video Fuels Online Mockery

The jokes escalated after an AI-generated video of Erika Kirk began circulating on X. The clip showed a fictionalized version of Kirk backstage before being lifted onto a massive stage and performing dramatic dance moves in front of a stadium crowd.

One user reposted the video with a jab at Trump’s struggling festival lineup. “Promoters of Trump’s ‘Great American State Fair’ can still save the day by booking Erika Kirk,” the user wrote.

The comments quickly turned sarcastic. One person joked that the first 200 attendees should get bobblehead Charlie Kirk dolls. Another said the fake performance needed “more pyrotechnics” and more tears. A third mocked the current state of the event, writing that the lineup may end up being “her, Lara, and Vanilla Ice.”

Lara Trump Jokes Return As Lineup Shrinks

Lara Trump also became part of the online pile-on.

Social media users joked that Eric Trump’s wife may have to perform if more artists leave the Freedom 250 bill. Lara, who is also a Fox News host, has released several songs in recent years, including a cover of Tom Petty’s ‘I Won’t Back Down’ and original tracks such as ‘Anything Is Possible’, ‘Eyes Of God’, and ‘No Days Off’ with French Montana.

One user joked, “We all know how this ends: Lara Trump on stage.” Others were harsher, mocking her vocals and suggesting the festival may eventually need her to fill space.

Artists Say They Were Misled

The lineup drama began after several performers said they were not fully aware of the event’s political ties.

Morris Day & The Time posted that they would not be performing. Young MC said he told his agents he would not take part and claimed the artists were not informed about political involvement.

Bret Michaels also withdrew, saying the event had been presented as a patriotic music celebration honoring veterans, first responders, teachers, and working Americans. He later said it had become more divisive than what he agreed to join. Martina McBride said she was misled about the nature of the event, while C+C Music Factory vocalist Freedom Williams also pulled out after receiving backlash.

For Trump’s Freedom 250 organizers, the event was supposed to project patriotism and spectacle. Instead, it has become a running joke about who is left to perform. And online critics have already found their punchline: Erika Kirk, Lara Trump, and a festival lineup that keeps getting smaller.
