Khloé Kardashian has finally explained why Coachella never became her thing. The Kardashian-Jenner family has been tied to the festival for years, but Khloé has mostly stayed away. On her ‘Khloé in Wonderland’ podcast, the reality star said one bad festival experience was enough to make her never want to go back.
During an “ask me anything” segment, Khloé said she has only been to Coachella once. She thought the trip happened around 2016, though past photos place her there in 2015. Either way, the memory was clear. It was bad.
Khloé Kardashian Says Coachella Got Scary Fast
Khloé said the problem started when she drank what she thought was juice at a party. Looking back, she believes the drink may have contained drugs, and she did not realize it at the time.
“I don’t think anyone drugged me,” Khloé said. “I just think I was the dumb one and didn’t realize that everyone was on drugs.”
She said she suddenly felt “really crazy” and had no idea why.
“No one wants to feel like that and not know why they’re like that,” she said.
The feeling overwhelmed her. Instead of partying, Khloé locked herself away.
“I remember locking myself in a bathroom for hours,” she said. “I got scared. I was in my head. I was so scared.”
She later realized what had likely happened, and the whole experience stayed with her.
“My experience was not good,” Khloé admitted.
Khloé did return to Coachella in 2019 to watch Kanye West’s Sunday Service, but the regular festival-party circuit clearly did not become part of her lifestyle.
Khloé Also Recalled Her DUI Arrest
That was not the only chaotic story Khloé shared.
She also reflected on her 2007 DUI arrest, saying she did not understand at the time that the arrest would lead to jail.
“I had no idea that arrest would lead to me going to jail,” she said.
Because the arrest happened on a weekend, Khloé said she had to stay in custody until Monday. She recalled being placed in a holding cell with 23 other women.
“They were all prostitutes besides me,” she said.
Khloé joked that her outfit probably did not help the situation because she was wearing a very short dress. She also remembered refusing to use the bathroom because the toilets were out in the open. “That still fascinates me till this day,” she said.

Khloé later had to turn herself in after being sentenced to 30 days in jail, though she did not serve the full sentence.
She said that second experience felt even scarier because the reality of going to jail finally hit her. Still, the Kardashian glam machine somehow made it into the story.
Khloé joked that her friend Malika Haqq styled her hair before the now-famous mugshot. “Malika did do my hair,” Khloé said. “She did a good job.”
