Demi Moore is 63, booked, glowing, and now telling fans what she believes has helped her look so striking in her sixties.
The actress, newly named as one of Lancôme’s global ambassadors, said her secret is not some wild Hollywood trick. It comes down to consistency, skincare, and a calmer evening routine.
Moore said she has become more intentional about how she ends her day. For her, the shift has been major. “I’ve become very intentional about my evening routine,” Moore said. “Taking the time to truly transition from the chaos of the day into a state of rest has been life-changing, and part of that is doing my skin care.” She added, “It’s the small, daily acts of self-care that lead to the most enduring results.”
Moore Says Aging Is A Gift
Moore is also changing how she talks about getting older.
“Lately for me, I’ve come to view longevity as sort of an alignment,” she said. “I say a lot now that it’s not about the amount of time; it’s about the quality of time you have.” The ‘The Substance’ star said aging should not be treated like something to fear. “Aging is a gift, and longevity helps you to thrive as you age, to really invest in your future,” Moore said.
As part of her Lancôme role, Moore said she has been using the brand’s Longevity MD Reset Cream for several months. “It feels like I’m investing in the future of my skin and really supporting it from within,” she said.
For fans, the timing makes sense. Moore has been one of the most watched actresses on red carpets in recent years, with many people pointing to her skin, styling and calm confidence as proof that her current era is working.

‘The Substance’ Changed How She Sees Self-Care
Moore also said her role in the 2024 film ‘The Substance’ deepened her relationship with skincare and wellness.
The film follows Elisabeth Sparkle, a fading celebrity who is treated as past her prime by a cruel TV executive. She then uses a black-market drug that creates a younger version of herself. The movie takes a brutal look at youth obsession, ageism, and the pressure people put on themselves to stay desirable.
“Filming ‘The Substance’ was a very intense, visceral experience that really highlighted the dangers of self-judgment,” Moore said. She added, “The most beautiful thing we can do is care for ourselves with kindness. I’ve viewed wellness and skincare as an act of gratitude, but this experience helped underscore that.” Moore said she now wants products that work with her skin and help keep it “resilient and healthy.”
One Scene Left Moore Shaken
Moore has spoken openly about the toll of filming ‘The Substance,’ which earned her an Oscar nomination.
At the Screen Actors Guild Awards last February, she described the movie as “an exploration of the violence that we have against ourselves.” “We can be so violent and brutal against ourselves,” she said.
One scene hit especially hard. In it, Moore’s character repeatedly applies and removes makeup while looking into a mirror. Moore later said the moment was deeply painful to film. “That scene broke me,” she said at ‘The Gotham Film Awards’ last January. “It was one of the most heart-wrenching moments in the film.”
For Moore, the lesson seems clear. The real work is not chasing youth at any cost. It is treating yourself well enough to actually enjoy the years you are in.
