Court records viewed by Page Six show Kate Lohan, 44, was booked on a charge of assaulting a family or household member with a previous conviction. She was taken to jail in Harris County, Texas, and held on a $35,000 bond.
According to TMZ, which first reported the story, Kate was at the house when the situation spiraled. She and Michael Lohan, 65, were reportedly meeting to exchange their children, but the mood turned fast. Sources claimed Kate became angry after being woken up, and the argument soon turned physical.
Insiders alleged that Kate punched Michael and left him with a bloody nose. The claims did not stop there. At one point, she was also accused of going into the kitchen, grabbing a knife, and throwing it at him. Michael was not injured by the knife, with reports claiming it ricocheted off his chest.
Police later arrived at the scene and escorted Kate away in handcuffs.
