Elijah Blue Allman, the 49-year-old son of music icon Cher and the late Gregg Allman, is facing serious legal trouble after being arrested twice in a single weekend in New Hampshire. Authorities confirmed that the musician is currently being held following a series of incidents that led to multiple criminal charges, including felony burglary and assault.

The first incident reportedly occurred on the evening of February 27, 2026, at St. Paul’s School, a prestigious boarding school in Concord. According to reports from local officials, police were called after a man later identified as Allman entered the campus dining hall and began behaving erratically. School officials alleged that he poked a student with his cane and later used it to push a staff member when faculty attempted to intervene.

Police eventually removed Allman from the campus and charged him with several misdemeanors, including simple assault, criminal trespass, criminal threatening, and disorderly conduct. Despite the confrontation, he was initially released from custody on personal recognizance shortly afterward.

Less than two days later, authorities say Allman was arrested again following an alleged break-in at a private home in Windham, New Hampshire. According to police reports, a homeowner called 911 after an intruder shattered a glass pane on the back door to gain entry. Officers responding to the scene reportedly found Allman sitting on a living room couch smoking a cigarette.

Police said Allman claimed he had permission to enter the home, a statement the homeowner denied. Although nothing was reported stolen, authorities estimated property damage of roughly $2,700 from the broken door and damage to a rug. The second incident led to additional charges, including felony burglary, criminal mischief, and breach of bail.

Allman’s latest legal troubles have drawn renewed attention to his long-running personal struggles. In recent years, the musician has publicly battled substance abuse and mental health issues. In 2023, Cher sought a temporary conservatorship over her son, citing concerns about his ability to manage his finances and well-being, though the request was ultimately denied.

The family’s challenges returned to the spotlight again in 2025 when Allman was hospitalized after a reported overdose incident in California. Now facing multiple charges stemming from the New Hampshire arrests, Allman’s case is once again attracting national attention as legal proceedings move forward.
