Nicole Kidman says she plans to remain in Nashville even after her divorce from country star Keith Urban.
The Academy Award-winning actor confirmed the decision during an interview with Variety, explaining that the Tennessee city has been home for nearly two decades.
“Yes,” Kidman said when asked if she intends to stay. “We have our life here. I’m part of the city and community for 20 years. It’s my home.”
Kidman and Urban separated last September after 19 years of marriage. Their divorce was finalized earlier this year.
The settlement granted Kidman primary custody of their two daughters, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 15.
Despite the breakup, Kidman said her focus remains on family and maintaining stability for her children.
“I am always going to be moving toward what’s good,” she said. “What I’m grateful for is my family and keeping them as is and moving forward.”
Kidman emphasized that she intends to keep the family environment intact even as life changes.
“We are a family, and that’s what we’ll continue to be,” she added.
Beyond family life, the actor also shared plans for upcoming travel, including trips to the Galápagos Islands and Machu Picchu with relatives and friends.
Kidman is currently promoting the television series Scarpetta, based on Patricia Cornwell’s bestselling crime novels, which is now streaming on Prime Video.
She is also set to reprise her role as Gillian Owens in Practical Magic 2, a sequel to the 1998 fantasy film that will reunite her with Sandra Bullock. The movie is scheduled for release in September.
