Cher has reportedly sparked concern among friends following an awkward moment at the recent Grammy Awards.
During the February ceremony, the music legend appeared disoriented while presenting a Lifetime Achievement Award. After delivering her speech, she mistakenly announced the late Luther Vandross instead of the actual winners, Kendrick Lamar and SZA, who received the honor for their song “Luther.”
According to a report cited by Radar Online, the incident has intensified worries among people close to the singer about her demanding lifestyle.
A source claimed that Cher has been pushing herself to maintain a fast-paced schedule that includes travel, late nights and social events.
“Since Alex entered the picture, Cher’s been trying to keep up with a jet-setting party scene,” the insider said, referring to her relationship with music executive Alexander “AE” Edwards.
The source suggested the pace may be taking a toll, saying Cher has appeared exhausted at times and has complained about feeling dizzy or out of breath.
Friends are also said to be mindful of the singer’s past health challenges and believe the constant travel and public appearances could be adding extra strain.
Despite the concerns, Cher has continued to maintain an active public presence. The singer, who will turn 80 in May, has long been known for her high energy and commitment to performing.
Representatives for Cher have not publicly commented on the claims.
