Jamie Lee Curtis says she believes The Bear will wrap up with its upcoming fifth season, though the show’s producers have not officially confirmed the timeline.
Curtis, who plays Donna Berzatto — the mother of Jeremy Allen White’s character Carmy — shared her thoughts during a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight. The actress referenced a social media post she shared earlier this year that hinted the acclaimed series may be approaching its final chapter.
On Feb. 17, Curtis posted a behind-the-scenes photo on Instagram with fellow cast members and reflected on the experience of working on the show.
“Surrounded by an incredible team of writers, producers and fellow actors on Chris Storer’s creation, we’re bringing closure to this remarkable family’s story that has captured all our hearts,” she wrote in the caption. “It’s been an honor to finish this journey with my Berzatto bear.”
When asked about the post during the interview, Curtis said she believes the series was always designed to have a clear ending.
“It’s the end of the show. Everyone’s aware of it,” she said.
Curtis added that she was not trying to reveal new information but rather repeating what she believes has been the plan for the series from the beginning.
“They’ve been clear about this from the start,” she said, emphasizing that she sees the fifth season as the natural conclusion to the story.
The Bear, created by Christopher Storer, has earned widespread praise since its debut, becoming one of television’s most celebrated dramas while earning multiple awards and nominations.
