Jessica Simpson and former NFL player Eric Johnson may have announced their split earlier this year, but the two are reportedly still living under the same roof.
According to a source who spoke with People, Simpson and Johnson continue to share their home in Hidden Hills, California, months after confirming their separation in January 2025.
The property, a sprawling estate valued at about $17.9 million, was put on the market shortly before the couple publicly revealed they were going their separate ways.
For now, the arrangement appears to be temporary as they work through the logistics of selling the house and adjusting to life after their split.
Simpson and Johnson share three children together: Maxwell, 13, Ace, 12, and Birdie, 6. Keeping life stable for their kids is said to be a major reason they have maintained the current living situation.
“They’re trying to figure out the best path forward,” the source said. “Eric’s still living there, but they’re actively working on selling the house.”
The insider added that both Simpson and Johnson have been focused on maintaining a calm and supportive environment for their children while navigating the transition.
“The goal has been to keep everything as stable and as friendly for the kids as possible,” the source explained.
Despite ending their marriage, the former couple are said to remain on good terms.
“They still have a great relationship,” the insider added. “They’re still co-parenting. The main focus is the kids, but they’re definitely moving toward the next steps.”
