Mia Khalifa has stirred debate online after reacting to Spain’s decision not to allow U.S. military bases on its territory to be used for operations connected to Israeli strikes on Iran.

The former adult film star and social media personality weighed in on the issue with a post on X (formerly Twitter), where she celebrated the move and added a cultural twist to her reaction.

“Streaming Bad Gyal because Spain didn’t let Netanyahu land on their soil,” Khalifa wrote, referencing the Spanish reggaeton artist as she applauded the country’s stance.

Her post quickly circulated online as tensions in the Middle East continue to dominate global headlines.

Spain recently confirmed it would not permit the United States to use joint military bases located in the country for operations tied to strikes against Iran. The announcement drew attention internationally because of Spain’s strategic role as a host for key U.S. military facilities.

Spanish Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares addressed the issue during an appearance on public television, saying that Spain had not authorized its bases to be used in the military campaign.

“Based on all the information available to me, these bases are not being utilized for this military operation,” Albares said.

The U.S. military maintains a presence in Spain through joint-use facilities including the Rota naval base and Morón air base. While American forces operate from these locations, the installations remain under Spanish sovereignty.

Spanish officials emphasized that any use of the bases for military action requires agreement from both governments and must comply with international law.

“The Spanish government will not authorize the use of these bases for any activities beyond our agreement or in conflict with United Nations principles,” Albares said.

Khalifa’s reaction added a pop culture element to the geopolitical discussion, highlighting how international political decisions are increasingly becoming part of viral conversations on social media.
