Sean “Diddy” Combs is now expected to be released from federal prison slightly earlier than previously scheduled.
According to Federal Bureau of Prisons records, the music executive—currently serving a 50-month sentence for prostitution-related offenses—is slated for release on April 25, 2028. His projected release date had previously shifted multiple times, moving from May 8, 2028, to June 4, 2028, before the latest adjustment.
Combs, 56, is incarcerated at the Federal Correctional Institution in Fort Dix, New Jersey, a low-security facility. He was transferred there in October after initially being held at New York’s Metropolitan Detention Center. Reports during his first weeks at Fort Dix included allegations of consuming homemade alcohol, which his spokesperson denied, stating that he has complied with prison rules and is focused on sobriety and personal discipline.
During sentencing, Combs addressed the court, expressing remorse for his actions and acknowledging the impact on his family. He stated that he had lost himself in excess and ego, adding that he regretted the harm caused by his decisions. He remains in custody as he continues serving his sentence.
