Halle Berry is setting the record straight about what she will—and absolutely will not—do in the bedroom.
Fresh off announcing her engagement to longtime partner Van Hunt on February 5, the Oscar winner got candid about intimacy during an appearance on the Sex with Emily podcast. Berry revealed she’s officially retired one habit from her past relationships: faking orgasms.
“In the past, we felt compelled to say we’d reached climax just to make him feel good about himself,” Berry admitted. “That meant putting his needs before our own. I’ve stopped doing that now.” The actress made it clear that those days are over.
Berry explained that earlier in life, she often prioritized her partner’s ego over her own satisfaction. But with maturity—and the right partner—her perspective has shifted. Now, she believes intimacy should be rooted in honesty and mutual pleasure, not performance.
Her relationship with Hunt appears to reflect that growth. The couple went public in September 2020, and after nearly six years together, Berry confirmed their engagement on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Hunt previously revealed he proposed in June 2025, though Berry initially put her answer “on hold” due to her complicated history with marriage.
After three previous marriages, Berry seems determined to do things differently this time—including setting clear boundaries behind closed doors. And by the sound of it, she’s not compromising anymore.
