Kelly Osbourne is speaking out after what she calls “absolutely devastating” body-shaming attacks flooded her social media in the wake of her father Ozzy Osbourne’s death.
The TV personality took to Instagram on February 23 to confront cruel comments targeting her appearance. Sharing a screenshot of messages that criticized her for looking “too thin” and “frail,” Kelly did not hold back. “I’m absolutely appalled at how cruel some people can be,” she wrote. “Nobody should have to endure this kind of abuse.” Some of the remarks compared her appearance to that of someone deceased—a comparison she clearly found deeply hurtful.
In follow-up Instagram Stories, Kelly shared a simple but pointed message: “This too shall pass, but seriously, what the hell?” The posts come at an especially emotional time for the Osbourne family following Ozzy’s passing, which Kelly has openly acknowledged has taken a toll on her mental and physical well-being.
This isn’t the first time Kelly has pushed back against online criticism. Last December, she addressed what she described as “disgusting, horrible, mean, and rude” comments about her body. She questioned what critics expected from her during such a difficult period, noting that simply getting out of bed and facing each day has required strength. “The fact that I’m even getting out of bed and facing life should be commended,” she said at the time.
In a since-deleted post, Kelly directly tied her appearance to the grief she’s been navigating. She shut down speculation about illness and weight-loss medications, making it clear that she’s mourning her father. “My dad just died. I’m doing the best I can,” she said, adding that she chooses to share positive moments publicly rather than dwell on her pain.
As she continues to process her loss, Kelly’s message is clear: criticism about her body is not only unwarranted—it’s deeply insensitive. And she’s no longer staying silent about it.
